Many of you will know that Laurie has been planning for over a year to take 12 months off from the rigors of YachtShare and sail the Med with his family of Vicki, Anna 6, Isaac 9 and Laura 12.

The time has come and he's packed up his house and bags and family and departs next week for Croatia. The family's floating house for the year will be a 2004 Jeanneau 43fter with 4 cabins and reasonably extensive cruising equipment. Expected points of interest to be explored will be Croatia / Turkey / Greece / Italy / France / Spain and Tunisia.

The task of General Manager has been an interesting one over the past 2 months for Nigel Winnard since moving from a Project Management role back into the marine industry. Nigel comes from many years working in Europe for some of the worlds leading charter companies and his background is brilliantly suited to the unique environment that makes up the Yachtshare group of companies. He's looking forward to meeting with you all and taking YachtShare to a new level in the coming months.

20 year old Blair McLay was the 2005 Laser Radial Youth World Champion, 3rd in the Open class, the NZ Youth representative at the ISAF Youth World Championship (Laser) in 2004 and 2005 and is currently working towards his goals of Laser World Champion and Olympic medals. Over the next 4 months he will be competing in Grade 1 events in Palma (Spain), Hyeres (France), Keil (Germany), Hyeres again for the European Champs and the World Championship in Cascais (Portugal).
